Objects of my affection - a Tuesday Theme

Lately I've been thinking that since I started this blog I have been looking very judgementally  (and rightly so) around the house for things that I can declutter.  All a bit negative.
As a bit of light relief, I thought I might make Tuesday a day to appreciate the things that I do enjoy having around me.  Not because of $$ value, but just because they are special to me for whatever reason.
I'd be happy for you to join in - with apologies in advance if this is a bit twee and/or it has all been done before!

These are my two little love birds.  Well I think of them as love birds, but when I look at them now they are just sparrows.  Always loving to each other and they have been on every window sill on each house or flat I've lived in since I left home to go to uni.

I just love them - not fine china and a looking a bit tatty now - but they are there every day for me when I do the washing up!

cheers Wendy

Decluttering for me is moving on those things that I no longer use or have been sitting around in the dark forgotten corners of my house or shed. Like you, I have some items that I simply cannot bear to part with for no other reason than they bring a smile to my face, and has nothing to do with their monetary value.

Thanks for sharing a little piece of your happiness!

I have a tiny deer that has followed me around from house to house, just like your sparrows! She 'lives' on a shelf near the kitchen (but she's packed away right now, ready for our next move).

dreamer - thanks so much - once I learn how to do the linky thing, I will do the same. You were up late - must have been sorting through those kitchen drawers again!

Daffodil - thanks for dropping by my blog. I had a quick look at yours and I think we're kindred spirits!

Kayli - I'm amazed that you have found my little blog all the way over where you are! The wonders of blogland. Thanks so much for dropping by. Good luck with the move and sounds like you are doing OK with the getting rid of things. Hope the little deer travels well.

Nelly - thank you too for dropping by. lol indeed about decluttering your house.... I've just had a look at your photos! wow - you certainly know how to find the good stuff at the oppy. I haven't had much luck at all lately (luckily). Yes very hot - yesterday was a stinker. Good luck over the next few days with Yasi.

I just came across your blog and must say I really like it. I am trying to make declutter my new hobby. However I do have a hubby that loves clutter and I do not know what to do with his. Any Ideas? My email is carantik@msn.com
